Scope
The Clinical Resource Nurse (CRN) plays severalvital roles in consulting with facilities in the improvement to the quality ofcare and quality of life and providing training and guidance toward obtainingoverall success in their clinical operations, including by assisting to developinternal processes and implement systems. The Clinical Resource Nurse’s numberone priority is assisting facilities in improving quality care and quality oflife for facility clients in its ongoing efforts toward successfully achieving aCMS 5 Star rating.

2.TheClinical Resource Nurse will conduct quality rounds when at the facilityincluding the medication room, utility room, central supply room, etc. The CRN will meet with residents and get toknow their current condition. The CRN will review resident’s charts forcompletion and accuracy.
Reporting
The Clinical Resource Nurse reports to the ChiefClinical Officer on a daily, weekly and monthly basis to track and trend careissues and repeated deficiencies. The Clinical Resource Nurse submits the dailyaudit to the client facility Administrators and DON, Chief Clinical Officer as partof the client facility’s Quality Assurance Performance Improvement Program.
MaintainingConfidentiality
The Clinical Resource Nurse upholds privacy and confidentiality inhandling clinical records in compliance with HIPAA.
Compliance As aCondition of Employment
Agreement to abide byall standards, policies, and procedures of the facility, including thefacility’s compliance and ethics program, is a condition of employment. Compliance will be a factor in evaluating jobperformance. Violations, includingfailure to report violations, will result in disciplinary action, up to andincluding termination.
